City staff and the City Council are continuing to meet with potential developers and users for the Garceau corner properties. At a recent workshop, the City Council discussed single-family detached and attached housing options for the site with a potential residential developer. Staff will continue to review the financial considerations for such a development with the City’s financial advisor, and will update the City Council in the near future. City staff is also researching potential re-use options for a portion of the site and buildings for commercial and office uses. If the City Council were to authorize any next steps in the development process, more information would be posted on this webpage and a community engagement process would begin.
