The City of Vadnais Heights annually performs a street improvement project to maintain the City’s infrastructure. Streets are selected based on a number of factors, including but not limited to, pavement condition, years of service, traffic volumes, maintenance costs and available finances.
A formal public hearing for the potential 2017 street improvements project was held at the City Council meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Letters were sent to approximately 200 property owners to solicit input. Following a presentation, six residents provided input. Based on public and Council discussion, the following streets were chosen to proceed as part of the 2017 project. Staff will be preparing plans and specifications and seeking bids for the following streets:
- Oakhurst Avenue from Clearbrook Lane to the north cul-de-sac
- Bramblewood Avenue from Highway 96 to Greenhaven Drive
- Willow Grove Lane from Bramblewood Avenue to Greenhaven Drive
- Heritage Court West from Evergreen Drive to the west cul-de-sac
