Ramsey County will be begin traffic signal work on County Road 96, starting the week of July 23, weather permitting. This project includes the addition of flashing yellow turn arrows at signals from Hamline Avenue to Trunk Highway 61. Each signal will take approximately one day to do the work. By the end of each day, the contractor plans to have the signal at full operation. The project will take approximately 4 weeks to get all the signal work done.
The work will include the change out of the signal cabinets, which means the signal will be without power. During this outage, the intersection will operate under a four-way stop condition. The contractor has arranged for Ramsey County Sheriff deputies to be on-site during the morning and evening rush hours to help with congestion and hopefully keep traffic moving.
The contractor does not plan to work Fridays, only Monday-Thursday. Schedule adjustments will be made if signals take longer than one day to complete.
